Official Album Synopsis: "CONF3SSIONS, Vol. 1" is an album that's being told from the eyes of a high school student, who’s facing a multitude of personal problems! In a way this project is a prequel to one of Mikey's earlier albums "Pray Until Something Happens," where he focused on how prayer can change the outcome of any situation. However, what if you didn’t have a prayer life? What if you didn’t have a relationship with God? Then most likely you’d be in the same boat as Mikey when he was a teenager. Throughout this entire project we get hints into how he dealt with relationships and how certain feelings and attitudes affected his judgment. Tracks like “3xpos3d” and “Ash3s” really hammer this subject home, by giving listeners a look inside his mind when he’s going through a nasty breakup. On the flip side we also get to see the vulnerable side to Mikey’s teen years. Tracks such as “Mist3r Lon3ly” and “Unwant3d” touch on the subject of loneliness, and how it can lead to feeling lesser than your surrounding peers who have relationships. CONF3SSIONS, also touches on the sensitive subjects of depression and suicide. The young artist recounts how he almost took his own life, after a series of events [that at the time], felt unbearable. (“Bitt3rn3ss” and “D3pr3ssion”) Mikey-Savage has gone on record stating that, “this project is different from all the other projects that I’ve released. Mainly due to the incorporation of explicit words. I didn't add them in for the sake of being there for shock value or to appeal to a wider audience. The only reason they're even there is because of my vision for this project. See "CONF3SSIONS, Vol. 1" is going to solely focus on my Sophomore year in high school. Before I understood what God’s, grace was. Before I uttered the words, I am a follower. Before I even gave my life to Christ, I was a depressed teenager with a lot of problems. And one of them was my incorporation of swear words into my everyday language. I know the majority of my fans won’t like this sudden change. All I ask is that they give the project a chance and trust in the vision God has given me!” #confession#album#official#synopsis#alabamarapper#indiemusic
