“Chasing your dreams” Since this seems to be the subject of 85% of the Instagram posts I see I figured I’d give my small take on what chasing ur dreams means and actually give some insight in what I feel that entails. Spoiler alert if u don’t wanna watch 3 mins of me rambling. 1- create a mind set of discipline through small actions. Things as simple as waking up at 5 am every day matter. 2- do more than your paid for even if it’s not your dream job yet. It always pays off. 3- work harder than the next Man (or woman). Life is a competition to me and i started way behind every one else. So in my mind I always have to work twice as hard as the next man to receive half the pay off. This applies to fitness obviously which is why im posting this here. Everything me and my clients do revolve around these simple concepts. We don’t search for an easier softer way. We work really hard together and that in itself is rewarding. Learning how to actually work for what u want is a reward unto itself. That’s what I would say to a client instead of something as redundant as “just be fearless.”

Nothing like new goals and progress to reignite the fire and keep it blazing ๐Ÿ”ฅ โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € Feels SO good to be training with a goal again... but it feels even better to feel strong again ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป I’m about a week into the strength program I started, and I’m absolutely LOVING it. It feels a bit strange to have jumped from over a year of training for muscular endurance, work capacity, and BBG (and honestly just wanting to be tiny ๐Ÿ™„), straight into a strength program (hello sets of 5 instead of 20 ๐Ÿ˜ฐ๐Ÿ˜ฐ๐Ÿ˜ฐ) - but it’s a change I know that will reap a multitude of benefits, both in the immediate and long term (s/o to @Markus_flores for reminding me of that ๐Ÿค—). โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € Don’t think I’ve been this happy every single day with my training in so long. I’ve said it a ๐Ÿ’ฏ times, but I’ll say it again - I love the way that training makes me feel, and I chase that feeling every ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป single ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป day ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป I’m so excited to see where I can go and how strong I can get with this program in the coming months!

GLUTE CIRCUIT๐Ÿ‘ | Throw some miracle grow on those peaches with this toasty glute circuit workout! Add this roaster onto the end of your next leg day or perform alone to get those glutes online and plumping: . 1. Modified Side Plank + Clam Shell x15 / Make sure you squeeze your glutes forward while you hold yourself up. Feet stay together while you clam (thanks for showing me the details @island_movement ๐Ÿ’œ) . 2. Single Leg Bosu Bridge x12 / Avoid overarching your low back as you press up. Drive through the heel and keep your opposite knee tucked in toward your body. . 3. Elevated Wall Bridge x15 / Getting extra ROM with this variation. Wrap a mini band above or below your knees and press your knees out as you raise and lower to toast those peaches! . 4. Static Elevated Bridge + Abductions x15 / Maintain a static bridge on the wall while pressing against the mini band with control. Avoid over arching your lower back and keep that core tight. . 5. GLUTE CIRCUIT๐Ÿ‘ | Throw some miracle grow on those peaches with this toasty glute circuit workout! Add this roaster onto the end of your next leg day or perform alone to get those glutes online and plumping:

1. Modified Side Plank + Clam Shell x15 / Make sure you squeeze your glutes forward while you hold yourself up. Feet stay together while you clam (thanks for showing me the details @island_movement ๐Ÿ’œ)

2. Single Leg Bosu Bridge x12 / Avoid overarching your low back as you press up. Drive through the heel and keep your opposite knee tucked in toward your body.

3. Elevated Wall Bridge x15 / Getting extra ROM with this variation. Wrap a mini band above or below your knees and press your knees out as you raise and lower to toast those peaches!
.
4. Static Elevated Bridge +  Abductions x15 / Maintain a static bridge on the wall while pressing against the mini band with control. Avoid over arching your lower back and keep that core tight.

Another workout another post-workout selfie ๐Ÿ“ธ Tomorrow is 3 weeks since I started the @jimstoppani New Year’s Challenge and I’m already down 3 lbs and have noticed a lot of my strength coming back ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป It is a 6 week program so we are almost halfway! - I tried taking videos of a few exercises I wanted to share from the program tonight at the gym but there was a guy working out in jeans and a flannel in the background of most of the videos so I decided not to ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘– - One training technique that Jim uses that kills my muscles is the 4-minute muscle technique. Basically you pick a heavy enough weight that you can get 12-15 reps (it should be difficult to finish the set) and then you have to try and get 36-45 total reps in 4 minutes. For me it is more of a mental struggle to get these done since I find it hard to really push myself and pick a proper weight amount. Here’s a quick tip that helped me properly work the glutes and any other muscle... Mind muscle connection is everything especially for the glutes because if you lack strength your legs try to work for you. Make sure you are doing some activation exercises before your workout! I placed 5th in Open Bikini at both shows. Each prep was completely different and this prep will be a combination of the two PLUS more. 2009 - When the quality of my camera was about as bad as the quality of food I ate ๐Ÿ™ˆ I was 14 and either at school or at the dance studio. I didn’t have much time between, so fast food was a daily routine. It was about 3 years after this that I realized I needed to re-evaluate my health. 
2019 - Traveling and quality of life is my number one priority! This includes exercising at least 4 times a week and consuming QUALITY food (also investing in a quality camera)๐Ÿ“ธ I am determined to make 2019 my year to learn more about feeling my BEST, and sharing this with all of YOU!
