I’ll admit I have a huge sweet tooth. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, dessert is my favorite meal of the day. This chocolate torte from @thetopdeckbarbados was such a perfect end to an otherwise great meal. Although I’m not the hugest chocolate fan, this dish is one I’ll make an exception for anytime👌🏾✨
Because ‘old favourites’ are old favourites for a reason.
Spinach, mushroom, ricotta and squash lasagne. Spiked with paprika, nutmeg and garlic and dotted with leftover white sauce from the girls’ tea yesterday. As ever, I, of course, had seconds. .
I’m on my own guys, so I stepped up and did what had to be done 😉👌🏼
I hate feeling judged.
Especially when it comes to food.
I had someone tell me recently: “Your relationship with food is a little too healthy.”
They meant I shouldn’t include foods in my diet that I love because it’s not the ‘real’ way to be healthy & lose fat. Yet here I am losing fat as these weeks go by…
An old me would’ve blown a fuse. The me now simply said: “This way makes me feel good and helps me reach my goals the best.”
I have to remind myself that I know the science behind fat loss. Others simply don’t and hold on to falsehoods that they’ve learned from who knows where. I remind myself that foods that are non-nutrient dense are okay to have-- this is healthy for my soul. I eat nutrient dense food 80% of the time so it’s more than okay to be flexible.
