Tanzania is a land full of fresh fruit. Check out this plate made by the fruit stand directly outside our hotel.
This plate would easily sell for $10+ in America. Take a guess what this plate costs in Mwanza!
Pineapple, banana, mango, avocado, cucumber, papaya & watermelon! A breakfast we've enjoyed almost everyday here.
Meal planning. Sometimes I love it and it makes life SO much easier. Other times, I hate it because we get stuck in a rut of the same old things! Anyone else?

Tonight we made a list of the fruit & veg the kids like (because I’ve been serving the same old 5/6 things for a while now!) and we agreed things they’d love to try too. Each week we plan on testing a new veg and a new fruit.
The bundle would eat you out of house n home with fruit but are more reluctant veg eaters if it’s not on the ‘like’ list so it will be good to add a few more veggies to that bit of paper.
Even though onions, tomatoes and peppers are on their ‘try’ list, they’ve been eating them since weaning....they just don’t know it! So it will be interesting to see how it goes when those foods get chunky instead of blitzed in e.g a Bolognese sauce.
Anyone any nice recipes for any of the foods we plan on trying? Definitely up for given the auld meal plan a good shake up!
Caveat- no mushrooms, ever, never, nope, nada, no!
