Oh look what I found while I was packing!!! Such great beautiful memories of an amazing day. Honestly I’m not a very sociable, in fact most of the time I’m super antisocial. I would rather hide if I see someone I know and definitely not a fan of going to parties. Those that are close are probably nodding their heads hard now right? Yup.. you! lol. As hard as it gets, I have found the mummy self has quite changed in drastic manner, from an extreme introvert I have become a semi sociable person. Mummy powers certainly makes loads of changes but how and where will I be with a bunch of loving and most amazing ladies! I promise I will frame this now we will be in a permanent space. I swear! Creativity is a skill that many of us think one is born with, but what if I told you that it is more of an acquired talent.
So first let us see what is Creativity actually?
According to me Creativity is simply the process or ability to think out of the box, you simply have to see and handle situations and things differently than others.
Now you would ask how do we acquire this skill? or how do we inculcate it in our children?
So to harness Creativity you simply have to train our mind to think differently.
You can start with:
1- Try learning a musical instrument...
The connection between creativity and practicing music is well known and many famous personalities like Albert Einstein, Oliver Sacks and Paul Klee have attributed part of their success to their exposure to music.
2-Being physically active...
Stress hormones such as Cortisol diminishes our creativity and if we’re too sedentary, we not only find it difficult to lower Cortisol levels but we also get used to a set and cliched thought patterns and we never try to break out of that thought process.
So believe it or not, an hour of activity such as dancing, yoga and even playing a sport or just a workout can do wonders in getting those stress hormones in control and increase production of happy relaxation hormone Serotonin which triggers those creative juices .
3-Indulge in any form of fine art.
Photography, sketching, sculpting are deeply creative activities. The ability to internally visualize and then represent it through a medium is truly an extremely satisfying experience.
4-Doing nothing at times.
Sometimes our mind just needs to abstain from processing any thing, too much information can make our mind hyper and put a stop to our productivity as well as our creativity.
