The Bulgarian split squat is one of my fave unilateral leg moves🦵🏼I’ve had a muscle imbalance in my legs that’s i’m just now starting to pay more attention to.. 😂 Unilateral moves are a great way to fix those imbalances! This exercise works quads, hammies, and glutes 🤩 You have to play around with positioning until you get to where it feels best for you. I have long giraffe🦒legs so I stand kinda far out lol! I also flex my back foot because it feels better for me. As for the rest of your form, remember to keep your back straight and push through your front heel! You can hold a kettlebell at chest level, dumbbells (like I am), or a barbell (which might trick up your balance even more). Like ❤️ and save so you can try this move out 🤩 I did 3x10 each leg!

Finally finished unpacking and managed to get to the new gym in my building. Considering that I took a week away, I decided to ease myself back into it with an accessory push day. The accessory work is a great way to wake the muscles back up and emphasize the movements instead of just focusing on weight. ———————————————— Today, I did 4 sets of 6 reps on pause squats at 285 (129kg). Like I said, the emphasis was on getting a clean movement with full depth and reactivating my quads, glutes and core. Looking forward to getting back into it and pushing the weight again.

I will be back with workouts tomorrow because I’m heading back home for a few days. My dad brought up a suggestion that I should start a YouTube channel. I think it’s a pretty good idea. Fun little leg circuit I tried on some clients then myself today. Focus has been on hamstrings and glutes lately, so these exercises target those muscles: . 1) Stationary Lunge Pulses. Doing a stationary Lunge with a barbell *under* you forces you to stop before you lock out at the top, keeping constant tension on the muscle. It’s tough! . 2) Reverse Lunge to deadlift. I’ll be honest, this one felt weird for a while and took some time to figure out. Don’t step back too far, keep back flat, and focus on stretching the hamstring. . 3) Good mornings to squat. Keep that core braced in those good mornings and a gentle bend in the knee. . . I did between 8-12 reps of each (per leg) here. . . Guys, the video quality isn’t great but it’s all I can manage for the time being 😓 I want to keep showing you cool stuff but sometimes the idea of spending a couple hours recording and editing just overwhelms me to the point where I just don’t do it at all. So until I can get my shiznat together a bit more, this is it! 😬

Now who doesn't love a completely spontaneous training session?! - So @athirstkw and I went into the gym with the expectation of doing some padwork and a full body weight session and then ended up with this amazing plyometrics session! Different variations of horizontal and vertical jumps to really work on our muscles explosiveness Every time you land from a jump, your muscles get a stretch. 📈📊Progression Update 📈📊 - So after a few weeks of inconsistent training due to injuries and a busy work schedule, I am happy to announce I am (almost) back to doing what I do best, I’d say about 65% give or take I finally feel like my strength programme is working, enabling me to be a lot more confident under the bar and driving out of the hole faster (obviously room for improvement) Working on it!
