After receiving bad advice, causing the bottom of my tank to bust, I am pleased that I have finally found a place willing to fix it! I'm so excited!!! I thought that it was going to be expensive, but the guy told me that it should only be around $50! That includes the cost of the glass AND the labor! Hopefully, there won't be any hidden charges and I hope that I will be happy with the finished product. I told the guy that whatever sealer that he uses must be animal safe. He agreed and said that he enjoys a challenge. He's replacing the glass with tempered glass, so that it will be able to handle the heat much better. He said that I was lucky that Clover didn't get burned or cooked to death. I told him that, surprisingly, she walked around nonchalantly and couldn't figure out why I was fussing over her. My fingers are crossed that everything goes well and that I'm not getting my hopes up. 🤞🏻🤞🏻😁😁 #reptiles#leopardgecko#leopardgeckos#lizards#pets#reptile#cute#reptilerapture#bonding#lizard#petsofinstagram#reptilesofinstagram#reptilemom#animals#adorable#happy#ecstatic#glassrepair#terrarium#terrariums#exoterra#Clover
I'm very sad to say that our beloved Fenway has passed. Not exactly sure how old she was, but I know she had some rough and tumble years before settling with us, dodging cats and huddling for warmth while being shipped interstate. It took a bit of time for her to warm up to us, but once she did she was a pretty friendly and personable lizard. We definitely made some mistakes in her care, as this was our first reptile.
Here's Fenway at what I think was one of her happiest moments. She loved roaming the sunny side of the house during the summer, and rarely strayed from her favorite spots.
Fenway is survived by multiple children, two of which we may be keeping: Levi and Strauss
To the gecko that started it all, RIP.
