Balance isn’t about having it all together. I find balance is just trying to do your very best with what you have been given. Live a life well rounded and continue to challenge yourself daily in life. Life can get pretty boring being the same old person. I much rather live a life headed in a direction of peace, joy and right standing with God than one what’s stuck in the same old place day in and day out. I rather be challenged to change and grow!! You may know how much I love yoga (insert sarcasm!). I strongly struggle with the slow balanced movements that push me to be more flexible and to breathe with each move. Guys, my body just does not move like that! 😂😂😂 Give me the fast cardio or weights and you have a perfect match for me! But I do yoga because it’s good to be challenged. And each time I do it. I walk away feeling like I have improved from the last time, hence I’m never in one same old spot. So find YOUR own balance today! Maybe it’s in a new workout. Maybe it’s at work or as a mom. I used to workout in a tiny space in our bedroom at night. It’s all I had. I didn’t have the time in the morning (I worked an earlier shift) so nighttime after the kids went to bed was when I would do my workouts. I dreamt that one day I’d have the space, how I wanted it and just a place to go that wasn’t carpeted or a normal living space. -

When I’m working from my office it’s usually head down from the minute I walk in until I leave. Lunch breaks are normally at my desk while I continue working. Today was different. I’m already feeling weary from all the December madness so I decided to make the most of the amazing weather. Just 20 minutes out of the office - at the beach - was just what I needed today. Do you make a habit of leaving your office and doing something for yourself during your lunch break?
Ik maak er even een throwback woensdag van. Toen ik in 2017 met Hemelvaart met mijn zusje in Londen was. Even zonder man en kinderen. Lekker onze eigen ding doen. Geen rekening hoeven houden met kinderen die nog moeten slapen overdag. Die moe worden van teveel lopen. Eten wanneer je daar zin in hebt. In 2018 ging ik in mijn uppie naar Milaan en kon ze helaas niet mee. Maar in 2019 gaan we weer lekker samen een paar nachten weg. Nu gaan we voor de combinatie zon/zee/strand en een boek.
