Nei dettagli della sua esecuzione esistono moltissime scuole di pensiero, molte delle quali valide, che differiscono tra loro per delle piccole sfaccettature. Sicuramente quando vi siete imbattuti in questo fantastico esercizio vi sarete chiesti quale fosse la migliore ampiezza della presa da utilizzare. Anche in questo caso, esistono molte varianti... ma di massima ci può affermare che la massima ampiezza da utilizzare non sia oltre il 200% della larghezza delle spalle. Più la presa viene stretta e maggiore sarà il coinvolgimento del capo lungo del tricipite che andrà a operare sinergicamente con il gran pettorale. Per i più novizi a questo mondo sicuramente è consigliabile non ampliare troppo la presa, proprio per giovare di questo doppio coinvolgimento pettorale-tricipite ed inoltre, non meno importante, per evitare di sollecitare oltremodo l'articolazione della spalla (non essendo particolarmente rodati a questo tipo di sollecitazioni). Proprio per quest'ultimo motivo, quando si eseguono gli esercizi che coinvolgono il gran pettorale, si dovrà cercare di addurre le scapole (ovvero avvicinarle tra loro) e portarle in depressione (cercare di portarle verso il basso) in modo tale da limitare al massimo la mobilità dell'omero salvaguardando così tutto il comparto articolare della spalla. The 🧢 says it all... YES Torture Thursday's workout was horrible!! 60 burpees and 1/2 a mile run after every exercise. Need I say more?? But I'd do it all over again, every week, every day to be around friends like @khuckabee . There was a point in my life not so long ago where this was quite literally the closest thing to cardio I could do. But you know what? It is a decent exercise for your abs/legs that elevates your heart rate (better than nothing) without straining your back, and while getting the circulation pumping through your legs. Bonus! Migraine had me sleeping untill 2pm today. That meant I ended up training on 400calories at around 5pm and jeez did I feel it. I was lifting no where near the amount I usually do and it was super frustrating 😂 Decent nutrition is 🔑

Exercise of the week! • • Plank extensions on a gym ball. • • This is definitely an advanced core exercise, that helps to increase core strength, shoulder and scapula stability. Start with your knees on the ground and progress to completing the exercise on your toes. The extension component of this exercise encourages serratus anterior to switch on and help with stabilisation.
