✂️Here's a great stretch to do if you feel your back starting to feel tight!  If you're feeling a little frisky, you can add some rotation as I did!

1️⃣Place both elbows on the desk.
2️⃣Slide the chair back until your eyes are level with the edge of the desk.

It’s the 12 days of what I call Plank~mas🙂 Challenge!🎄 • About 2 years ago, I decided I wanted to start exercising and focusing more on my health and well-being. • Before I was introduced to the fitness community I’m apart of now, I discovered a Plank challenge in a woman’s health magazine. 30 day Plank hold. That was it! Each day, I would move up in 5 second intervals until I could reach a one minute hold. • You all~> I started off with -> 5 <- seconds.I barely made it to 10 without violently shaking and collapsing to the floor!!It was crazy hard for me~ but over the course of 30 days, I keep doing it. Each day, I’d pull out my bright orange index card and wrote my goal in seconds and if I made to that or not. • That was my beginning back into exercise. That challenge was then followed by speed walks around my yard. • I think we all can have that all or nothing mindset and over complicate our health and wellness. I’ve been totally guilty of this in the past. Example~ “I want to start running~ I think I’ll run 5 miles and die and never want to run again” haha, anyone relate?Or let’s not eat sugar anymore~ ok deprive myself of all sugar , go stark right crazy pants~ then end up eating every cookie, ice cream, donut or bread there is and forget the whole thing!! Been there🧟‍♀️ Then one day I just decided to start off small with SOMETHING.Over time It BUILDS STRENGTH. Slowly, I made that beginning. • So today, I challenge you to a plank hold😁 Whether you start at 5 seconds or not~ work your way up to a minute hold over the course of the next 12 days! If you’re more advanced, try longer than a minute or other style planks. ** Please practice good form by keeping your head in line with your spine, back flat, abs tightened, hips down and legs either together, or hips width apart. ** I am not a certified personal trainer~ perform at your own risk** You got this!

I'm choosing to move anyway. we don't get to choose much in life so the things that are in our control, choose wisely. to suffer and still keep your composure, your faith, and your smile... is hard. the hardest part of it all. as bad as your pain feels right now.. it is changing you. it is moving you. it is shaping you. it's hard to feel grateful for those things in a time of suffering.. impossible. but as time shifts.. it will reveal all that you are. all that you've always been. I truly believe that. God has a way.. a way we can't comprehend... but His way is good. So far i am in track to spending 4x of #strengthtraining this week, which is where i want to be for the next few weeks. POWERFUL PICK-2! . Here we go again! Fun in the SoCal sun. Stopped about 2 miles into this run and put down down some body weight drills on the asphalt. . Today I’m out at a regional park with loads of trails, paths, equestrians and PEACOCKS running wild. . The little “squirt” (Cleo) along with me was totally out of sorts when she saw those birds. . Here’s another mini *yet powerful* PICK 2 for you that I do all at once, or intersperse at each park I pass! . 2 exercises X 10 reps X *10 rounds = 100 reps *scale back on rounds to regress and build up to 10 . 1 lower body exercise (mobility lunge) 1 upper body/core (oblique THINGY 😂) . Total time = approx. 15 minutes of whole body integrated bodyweight sequencing and interval drills to scale into your movement practice. Let me know how you like it! 2 exercises X 10 reps X *10 rounds = 100 reps
*scale back on rounds to regress and build up to 10
.
1 lower body exercise (mobility lunge)
1 upper body/core (oblique THINGY 😂)
