This time last year I had just completed my first ever 12wk physique transformation with @adamjamesparr. I LOVED the challenge and the results it gave me and whilst understanding that shoot day stats are not sustainable indefinitely (to that degree) I HUGELY underestimated just how easy it is to rebound once you take your eye off the ball. 
Cue Christmas, epic holiday and a large dose of complacency I found myself at Day 1 of my second challenge in Sept feeling like I was back at square one. 
Day 84 sees me 23lb lighter and 5.5in smaller in the waist but above all wiser to and more accepting of how my body reacts depending on the way I treat it. 
Major rebounds are now BANNED! 
I am my harshest critic. Im proud of the level of graft Ive put in this last 12 weeks and with the surplus calories Ive definitely put on some lean muscle mass in the last 12 months but Ive have learned some lessons the hard way and now its time to move forward and put it all into practice. New Year = New Goals!

The Mind is a somewhat general term for the stuff going on in your brain. The idea of the mind should include the concept of behaviours, beliefs, and the relentlessness of the transient energy which flows through all of us, all the time – thoughts.

Today more than ever, there is a growing awareness of the practice of meditation. The scientific community has come around to the fact that it’s not a load of rubbish, and the success of certain introductory meditation apps is unprecedented.

This growing awareness and popularity of guided meditation practices is not without merit. After all, the mind affects everything we do and experience. Our thoughts are just thoughts; they only grow in influence when we lavish them with attention. The most advanced virtual reality machine ever created—the brain—colours and details the thoughts we ask it to, intertwining them with electrical and chemical alterations to our autonomic nervous system. We experience this as feelings, emotions.

If we practice particular thoughts regularly enough, we can build patterns, which may even expand into beliefs and drive our behaviour. These beliefs may or may not serve us well. Truth doesn’t really matter in this equation, since whether what we believe is true or not, our neurology and chemistry will change to make it feel right for us

Here’s some of my circuit. ⭕️A1 Single arm shoulder press - hammer grip⭕️ A2 Iso hold single arm lateral raise πŸ˜… ⭕️A3 single arm upright row ▢️rotator cuff ▢️ shoulder press ⭕️A4 windmill. Key tips for A3 - think about each movement - go light and rotate from the elbow. Tips for A4 - really lock in that core and slide down your leg as low as comfortably possible without feeling any pain in your lower back. Keep your eyes on the weight at all times. How has a month passed so quick!?
Its crazy how a month of yoga has improved my asana practice so much, i thought id go mad doing yoga daily, especially Ashtanga every day at 5.30am (for a month) but ive found some crazy determination and dicipline in myself that i never really knew i had. Tears uncontrollably streamed from my tired eyes in heart opening meditation and i felt a massive weight lift from me...... and since then my body feels more open and able to reach postures that until now ive really struggled with.
I have always loved sirsasana but now i feel i could stay here forever i feel so comfortable, even holding at 90° feels almost easy now, almost meditative....so dont give up!!!! Practice really does make the world of difference and i never really thought id say this as im what one might call a slow moving yogi convert......but its all about connecting the mind and the bodyπŸ™ˆπŸ˜ŠThank you india for a precious learning experience i will never forget, Namaste πŸ™
