Please keep nature clean, so this does not happen. All went good. If I had not been there at that time and place, this duck would have died a horrible way. Always keep a handy tool in your pocket, when you are out walking. It might come in handy.
No one is perfect. None of us does everything right every time. There was only one perfect man, Jesus, and He was crucified to pay the price for all of our mistakes. The lie that satan tries to sell is that we don't need that gift of forgiveness and salvation because we're not "that bad." Satan has constructed his own hierarchy of sin, convincing us that some are worse than others and as long as we're generally good people we'll be okay. But the truth is, everyone sins because everyone is imperfect, and all sins are equally offensive to God. Because He is a perfect being, His nature cannot be in the presence of imperfection without destroying it. So He sent Jesus to die and resurrect so that we could have the opportunity to be free from that condemnation. When we accept Christ we get to put on His righteousness. We become sons and daughters of God, perfect in His sight. We are cleansed of our wrongdoing and made holy before Him. None of us can achieve that status on our own. None of us can work hard enough or offset our missteps with enough good deeds to negate our need for a savior. It's impossible. But the fact that Jesus did come and He did die and He did rise again means we don't even have to try to get back into God's good graces on our own. We get to simply receive His love and forgiveness, free of charge. When we acknowledge that we need it and choose to follow Christ, He will restore us to relationship with Him and allow us into His presence as new creations.
“Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.”
