I read a really interesting post recently about being a ‘coach only, not a cheerleader’. - - - I’m just here to let you know that yes, I’m a coach. I will show you new movements, tell you which parts of your body they are benefiting, I’ll break the movement down and help you nail your technique to get that movement running safely and effectively. Then I’ll apply that movement to your existing training, show you where it will fit in and help you incorporate it as part of a group of movements. I’ll push you when you need to work harder, I’ll correct you when you get tired (or lazy 😜) and continuously look out for development and improvement. - - - BUT... If there weren’t images of her doing what my body was being asked to do, I’d have said “impossible”!! Eish !!! Sema upper body strength of a chicken! Sorry kids more workout vids... Today was front and back squats and they were killerrrrr but hey look at me using the big plates! I went 6-5-4-3-2-1 adding 10lbs each set with a resistance band for a lil extra challenge (I almost couldn’t get back up on the last rep yikes😵) anyway, I think my form is okay but could always be better. 🏋🏻‍♀️🏋🏻‍♀️🏋🏻‍♀️ #squats #backsquat #werk #wod #workout #weightlifting

PULL UPS in my opinion one of the best back exercises there is. A lot of people struggle with pull ups but you can always use resistance bands if needed to support. And eventually after a few years of hard work you can start adding additional weight! 40kg -> 30kg added.

Sometimes you can feel so stressed because of all of the things on your to-do list that you can barely roll out of bed to do them. The overwhelm is just too much, right? Well, I’m here to tell you that you should definitely roll out of bed and get to that workout. It might not seem like it now, but once you get started, you’ll notice that you’re more energized, your mind is clearer, and you’re feeling sunnier thanks to the burst of endorphins. Not to mention, having an outlet for all that built-up stress will help lower cortisol levels and reduce belly fat – a win-win.
