Ever have a day that just feels... strange? Nothing really happened of note. Things popped up but really it was a relatively quiet day. Like everything just slowed down and things were settling to the bottom and catching up. A day to catch your breath maybe? I don’t know if I caught my breath - but I feel like the opportunity may have presented itself more so then other days. Maybe it was mother nature’s way of saying good bye to winter. My 2nd attempts from the meet: 180/396 287.5/633 I didn’t think there was a possibility of missing 182.5 after my 180, but it is what it is. 287.5 moved quicker than I thought it would and grip felt strong on this rep. @jfmylott3 missed his 3rd attempt on grip right before me so it added to the mind fuckery that has forever infected my mind with grip and deadlifts, so I’m blaming him 🀣. I still ended the day with a 15kg PR on my total, so it was still a good day. More motivation for the next one. Something something weeks out !

Hit depth or move the weight? I was hoping for both. My butt was moving back further and I was sitting into my heals more. WIN! I didn’t hit depth in this last set though. Videoing your reps and sets is a game changer. 3 bicep workouts to help hit the peak of your bicep. . . 1) Dumbell plate curl - simple and effective, simply hold the dumbell from the plate end using your palms (keep fingers and palms firm), keep your elbows close in. Dont go any lower then your belly button, and no higher then your upper chest (if you go higer your elbows will start to move forward). As you lift squeeze your biceps- you'll notice the peak of your bicep at work. I was a tad bit fast i noticed so try and go abit slower. . . 2) Squatting cable curl (straight bar) - firstly if your injured or have knee or leg injury then dont do it. My right knee is stronger then before but i still noticed some shakes. Hold yor squat and rest your elbows on in inside of your knees (for stability). Today I surprised myself! I couldn’t finish a whole mile running but I broke my record!! I actually ran .52 miles at 6.4/6.5 😁 I’ve never been able to run past 6.1 for longer than 3 minutes. I’m super excited!! πŸŽŠπŸ˜† I then had to take a break (felt asthma symptoms) and I fast walked for like 3 minutes. Then, I finished my mile strong with running at 9.5 for 30 seconds! Can you believe that?? That’s so crazy for me to believe because this girl has not kept on track with the healthiest lifestyle, this girl doubts herself & lacks the confidence she needs. BUT, this girl has also realized how strong she is, and how determined and resilient she can be πŸ’ͺ🏼 This girl is me πŸ˜ŠπŸƒπŸ»‍β™€οΈπŸŒŸ . . . . Thank you @ls_gmz for showing me how to bench press and push me to try more weights on the leg press. I worked hard but I’m also surprised at how great I feel 😁 . . Back and bicep. I haven't been working out consistently lately so I'm expecting to be pretty sore from my last workouts 😫. I need to get to bed on time too, I've been staying up too late and sleep deprivation is no good for the body. 365x3 from last week on deads ft. shit gym music. 😀 I remember this set feeling good, but watching the video makes me realize how much I need to improve on my form. One of the biggest things I keep noticing is not rolling my shoulders back to activate my lats more. In this set my shoulders are completely slouched forward which is not good form at all. I‘m probably missing out on potential strength gains because the weight feels heavier than it would with activated lats. Videos help me see any issues with my form like this so I can work on them in my training. #SBD #Deadlifts #Powerbuilding

Sometimes if you don’t have a backup you can see how strong you are πŸ’ͺ. Yesterday and today’s workouts I was able to use a set of 15s throughout the workout. One move I couldn’t even lift the weight so I just didn’t use one but for everything else I was able to push through.
