A little girl, a golden field of rape seed and my favourite windmill where I imagine little mice live in. This was two years ago and I reminded myself of these photographs whilst running and dancing in the tracks of the rapeseed by our favourite forest. You can see this evenings adventure in my stories. It is beautiful and I am now sitting and watching the sun go down over the hills. Today I feel so peaceful and happy. I wish I could bottle this feeling up and send it to any of you that need it.
Last weekend we took Owen to the @BronxZoo for a preview of their #DinosaurSafari and he was SO INTO IT 🦕🦖🦕🦖 As soon as our ride through the 2-acre area packed with animatronic dinosaurs ended, his first words we're ride the "trolly" again? I was nervous he might be scared but he love, love, loved it. The exhibit opens to the public today (April 19th) and if you're local or visiting NYC, we cannot recommend it enough. This was our second trip to the #BronxZoo and I really think 3 is the magical age ✨ #MakeYourDayPrehistoric & take 10% off your admission with the code
My happy little smush 😍 How do I have an 11 month old 🙈
Yesterday Olie had an Easter egg hunt at school. He came home with eggs filled with treats. One was a bag of sour patch kids - mommy can I have this? I told him he could have it for dessert. Eager to eat (so he could have his dessert) he kept asking “is dinner ready yet?” When it finally was, I bring it to the table and find him fast asleep on the couch (it did seem a bit quiet!) He slept from around 6pm until sometime in the middle of the night, where he performed his act of coming into our room, standing in front of my bed, and staring at me until my eyes open. First words out of his mouth? “Can I have my sour patch kids?” 😂
These two !! 😍😍
Me and Nana! 💛 When I got the first shipment of Nanny and Me books, I waited to open the box until I could open it with Nana. She was the first person to see the book!
Yesterday enjoying our evening watching big brother at soccer practice.
It's been nice to have some better weather. .
We've spent most of the day in the garden. I have sorted out the storage bench, which held the garden toys. .
I've thrown out some really old and tatty ones we've had for years and given it a good clean inside. It's all organised now and we can see exactly what is there.
I also had a clean up of all the water toys that had gotten gruby during the winter. The girls have enjoyed playing in the paddling pool and with all their water toys. We even blew some bubbles!
My eldest wanted a picnic tea in the garden so we did this sitting on the step then it was indoors for early baths and a shower for mummy!
Doing baths early gave me plenty of time to clean up and water the garden afterwards while they watched a bit of TV. Then it was stories and bed.
Have you had a good "Good Friday"? X

Dyeing Easter eggs in our all natural dye. Matt & I had a full house last night with my little sister & 2 younger cousins sleeping over. This morning we woke up had some breakfast, feed the chickens, and started chopping & cooking up our egg dyes. I really hope these work ! parsley for green, Tumerick for yellow, yellow onion for rust, red cabbage for blue, and red onion for red.
