Let me tell ya a little story: every so often I get the sweet chance to meet a face behind a brand and yesterday was full of those very wonderful opportunities at the Fancy Food Show, including the fantabulous Rachel from the tahini company that’s on my cake here! ✨ Meeting rockstars that make good, clean food that ends up on my clients plate and in my food photos reminds and inspires to do what I do.... which on @instagram is to hopefully share a little bit of that super good inspiration stuff with y’all, inspiring ya to eat a more healthful, plant filled life... with a delightful little side of chocolate and tahini. ✨

It’s technically a vanilla pound cake (though vanilla-butter would be a more accurate description 😂) with an Ube glaze. And there’s 3 shades of purple going on in there. After making it I thought I may like the stripes better if I switched them up every stripe instead of in blocks... think alternating dark purple, medium purple, light purple every strip... 🤔

Anyhow... please meet my rainbow-licious Salmon Cobb Salad Board!!! 🌈✌🏽
I’ve made this a few times the last few months and it’s more of an idea than a recipe... 💭
Ya see, all sorts of toppings will work with the salmon. And there’s a bowl of frisee (not pictures but ya can peak at a few leaves popping out) and all sorts of greens will work too. Here we have, clockwise, starting from the top left corner, avocado, purple cauliflower, red, orange & yellow tomatoes, purple onion, purple potatoes, limes, lemons, shiitake mushrooms, sheep’s milk feta, bacon, pink, ninja and watermelon radishes, garlic, blood oranges and the star of the show: salmon in the center with capers and all is sprinkled with chives, flaky sea salt and pepper ~ WHOA!
When hosting dinner parties I especially adore dishes where guests gotta really get their hands in there cause it makes for a much more communal kinda situation.
So I’m thinking of sharing this on the blog, showcasing all sorts of options that can go on there (7-min eggs, green beans, peppadew peppers, would all go deliciously and the lost goes on and on...) for a very rainbow-licious salmon time! Whatcha think...?

There’s Dragon Carrots, Squash, Shiitake Mushrooms, Gomasio and Green Onions in there. Lots of flavor and full of healing goodness to warm up from the inside out! Ginger is a powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant, the turmeric adds a sweet earthiness and is its own anti-inflammatory with digestive properties and miso is a great source of vitamins, amino acids, and even more antioxidants. There’s a lot of textures and contrast between the umami rich broth and lots of fresh, raw and cooked veggies piled on top. Will share if there’s interest otherwise will just keep enjoying by myself. And on the note of being unapologetically me, check out this big ass pot of beet soup! Working on nailing the recipe to share with all you lovely folks. I’m making it again for the new man this week and if he approves it onto the blog it will go :). There’s a trifecta of root veggies going on in there with beets, parsnips and celery root. It’s beautifully delicious, healthy and comforting and there’s a cashew cream swirl taking it over the top ~ YUM!
I want it to be super nourishing without sacrificing yumminess... we’ll see what the dude says! But I’ll take him liking me over the soup any day... I means it’s not like his taste buds are the gold standard or anything...😂💜✌🏽

Been really into making my cheese boards go from sweet to savory style. We got roasted grapes spilling over into some creamy-licious burrata on the right and some cranberry and thyme goat cheese crumbles on the left, followed by some pomegranate, persimmons, and olives as we’re starting to move into the savory section. The burrata is topped with savory yummies from them olive bar, there’s some toasted baguette, and aged goat cheese, ending with some roasted cherry tomatoes and thinly sliced garlic, with some sweet and sour kumquats scattered through all the goodies. Love my tray with handles so it’s a cheeseboard all ready to hit the town and go to a party!
