The problem isn’t that you don’t have time, and the problem isn’t that you don’t care. The problem is you are thinking about fitness as an all or nothing proposition.

You either have to be all-in, or it’s not worth doing.  Does that sound about right?

You’re thinking you have to spend at least 45 minutes at the gym, in order to have an effective workout. And if you can’t do that, then what’s the point?
-
Look, workouts don’t have to be perfect to be effective.
-
You know that saying, Something is Always Better than Nothing?  It’s true.  Especially in fitness.
-
You may not have time to drive to the gym, get your full workout in, and drive home, but you can walk downstairs, and do a quick effective workout that might look something like one of these:

Set the clock for 10 minutes and do as many rounds as possible of:
-
Squats x 10
Push ups x 10 
Bicycle Crunches x 10/side

OR
-
4 Rounds:
-
Bulgarian Split Squats x 8/leg
Single Leg Hip Thrust x 10/leg
Plank w/slow reach x 10/side

Got some weights?  Great! Hold some weight!
Don’t have any weights? Great!  Add a pause or constant tension

Short effective workouts like these are perfect when life gets crazy and you don’t have time for a longer workout but you want to get something in. -
No more letting the all or nothing excuses keep you from making the progress you want.  You do have the time.

Get to the gym when you can. And when you can’t?  Crush some short, effective circuits at home.

This weekend while at the beach with my grandson I gasped for air and let out a little scream, and told him to run away from the wave that was coming.  Not realizing that my reaction scared him, and he ran away crying.  The wave took me off guard and I didn’t react properly.  For the rest of our beach day, he was scared of the water. 😒 
Had I kept my reactions calm, he would have been calm.
