My PT messages me this morning to say "meet me at the Mount surf club this morning" i was still in bed, thinking "aw crap, shes gonna make me go up the Mount today!!" The entire jog to the surf club, I was cursing. I dont want to go up the Mount. I dont wanna go up the Mount. Im gonna die! Lol #dramatic ... once i got up there, I really enjoyed it and its set my day. Feeling good and #inspired ... our minds are so #powerful ... we doubt ourselves alot with things in our lives. 3 exercises to support healthy posture! .
Our spines are meant to move and express different positions. We often hear about having poor posture - well the true poor posture is simply the position we spend too much time in because in doing so our spines get used to that position, our fascia tightens, and as a result we continue to express that one position. Spending a little bit of time in any position isn't the problem, the true problem for posture is when our spines become incapable of easily expressing different position as this leads to a range of back problems. .
What we can do is strengthen the muscles that support our back while at the same time helping our spine move through a range of positions. These exercises will do just that. The scapula pushups and beaches seals will give your back strength and the cat cow 🐱🐄 will help your spine express itself. .
This will also help support the standing up straight posture. The cool thing about the typical ideal posture is it can translate to how we feel mentally and emotionally. Our posture can help us feel confident, open to the world, and more sure of ourself - whereas hunching over can translate to feeling down, closed off, and is often a position we take when something is wrong. So play around with your posture and feel how standing straight can help transform how you feel. Just remember to also express different positions because the spine that is rigid in one place is more prone to back issues. .

Hello people!! I am officially back from a 10 month trip of a lifetime 🌏 Now that I have a kitchen again I am KEEN to start recipe testing and share it all with you guys! From Indian curries to Spanish paella’s I have so many recipes I want to recreate 😋 by some miracle my dad convinced me to go swimming with him at 6am this morning so I was HUNGRY when we got home.
