Cuz my thumb open pretty good on that toss in the first second of the video during our 2019 annual review for JROTC. Update also I leave for BCT in 18 days now super excited for that I’m working the best I can on spinning before I go.
It's been 4 years of our lives and now it's about to come to an end, we got recognized today for being in the JROTC program since freshman year but now it time to leave ( graduate) and let others take our place. JROTC has been a major player in my life, it made me realize the career I wanted to persue in life was in the military, it made me the person who I am, but I still have tons of space for improvement. I just want to thank the program for allowing me to be a part of it.
MGySgt Davis officially retired today! Top Davis is a decorated Vietnam veteran and a former Drill Instructor that molded young men into hard charging Marines. Top served on active duty for 27 years before retiring. After his active duty retirement, he soon began a career as a Marine Corps JROTC instructor. That career would span just as long as his time on active duty as a Marine. His time wearing the uniform of a United States Marine spanned 53 years and 3 months...a few months longer than the “Grand ‘Ol Man of the Marine Corps”, Archibald Henderson. He has carried on the legacy of the Corps for decades and will now pass on the torch to the next Marine.
Master Gunnery Sergeant Davis, I wish you fair winds and following seas!
Semper Fidelis! 🇺🇸
Some more photos from the Awards Banquet! Congratulations to all of the cadets (not all pictured) who received awards!
Please note that this is not an official page for the MCJROTC program at Wilson. It is run by cadets for the purpose of promoting and providing information about the program.
