now that i have left the amazing age of twenty and heading into the age twenty-one, i thought i would share some of the lessons that i learned from my experience of being twenty.
1.) family is everything
2.) taking care of your physically, mentally, and emotionally health is so important
3.) outgrowing material things, people, or past versions of yourself is a part of life and one-hundred percent OKAY!
4.) the act of forgiving yourself and others is such a powerful thing.
5.) being homosexual doesn't define who you are as a person.
6.) there is beauty in everything.
7.) negatively will always be there, and learning to cope with it is one of the best tools you could learn in life.
8.) perfection isn't real.
9.) going against the grain is hard at times but worth it in the end.
10.) failure is normal.
11.) you can learn lessons from every experience you are faced with.
12.) drama is one of the most draining things in life.
13.) learning to laugh at yourself today, makes for the best stories for tomorrow.
14.) you can't make someone love you.
15.) taking time to get to know someone before falling head over heels sucks sometimes but you'll thank yourself later.
16.) people can't read your mind, so communicate what you are thinking.
17.) money isn't everything.
18.) don't take anything for granted because, it could be gone in an instant.
19.) LIVE IN THE MOMENT!
20.) when everything seems to be going wrong just turn to the Golden Girls for guidance.
