Things are getting better with Finn. I couldn’t be more thrilled and thankful. I don’t know if it’s because he’s getting closer to 4yo or because we’ve figured out potty training the last few months, but ...ya boy is Gold !👏🏽👏🏽 Obviously he still challenges authority and probably will until he’s a teenager or an adult 🤣. But SLOWLY we’re getting to a happier healthy place ❤️
So many captions for this picture! These two kept the pool party going well after everyone left. I love it! Happy Birthday Aurora!
Sick of spending my life telling myself "I will be happy when"... when we own a house. When we save more money. When we pay that credit card off. I'm happy now. We did things backwards and our first baby wasn't planned. The reality is we probably won't ever have the pleasure of being financially crippled by a mortgage because life had other plans for us. I've realised I don't want those things. I have, two beautiful, healthy sons and a loving partner who I want to live every moment being happy with, right now. We are moving house again, yep still renting. A bigger house with a nice back yard and a cubby house and a play room and finally a dishwasher, so I can spend my free time chasing Kyan in the back yard and watching Morgan explore. More room to play and grow and I can't bloody wait 🙂🙂🙂
Guess which of our all time favourite prints has just come back into stock?! Pink Glitter Crown ... now available to order via our website! ✨ we have been quiet this weekend but decided to take a little break from social media... but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been working hard! In fact we have 31 orders ready to wrap this evening to get to the post office tomorrow! They will love me for that 7.30am drop off! 🥰
“Let’s lay in the sun. We found the sun! It’s on my hair!” ☀️
In our family, body parts are body parts, no matter where on the body they may be, but it hasn’t always been easy.
My son started asking me questions about his parts when he was about 5 years old.
He wanted detailed, user-manual-type information about his gear and wasn’t deterred by my vague answers (i.e. “Those hold sperm, like a purse holds money…”) until he asked the big question: “But how does the sperm get to the egg?”
And so it began. I tried doling out the barest scraps, but he wanted to know exact logistics, so I told him.
The look on his face was one of shock mixed with mild disgust, but he recovered quickly and asked, “Does a nurse have to be there when you do it?” and “Do you have to wear gloves?”
Then he started asking about our friend who was inseminated. And the other friend who was acting as a surrogate.
Any clichés about mommies and daddies in love wouldn’t cut it. And that, my friends, is how we launched into a discussion about the mechanics of artificial insemination.
This time he wasn’t grossed out; merely fascinated. Questions included: is the doctor the donor; did the ‘bank’ have money AND sperm; how does it get from the man into the cup; how does it get from the cup into the lady; and, my favorite, how does it know to swim to the right place, instead of, like, her armpit?
I answered the best I could, with a straight face and being honest if I didn’t know. Next time, I vowed to be prepared. I had diagrams. I had books. I had my husband on speed dial. Unfortunately, he’s now 16 (today in fact!) and probably knows more than I ever will.

A few years ago when I first started using Instagram I posted literally everything and anything. I didn’t care about likes. I didn’t care if the photo worked with my feed and I posted when I wanted to.
In the past few years this app has really changed. We can now send, save and boost posts. The more Instagram evolves the more complex and stressful it becomes. As much as I love some of the new features I often miss what used to be.
I do however love that the number of likes are now hidden. 🙌🏻🤗 I also love that friends have returned to posting from the heart rather than for the likes and I love that these little squares have introduced me to so many amazing people. I wouldn’t change any of that.
As an influencer I understand that it’s a constant struggle for people, myself included.
Find the joy and create a place here where you feel good and inspired. Don’t let other people’s opinions shape this space for you.
One day this little guy is going to look back at these squares and he’s not going to care how perfectly edited the photos were or how many likes they received. I want him to see the joy and kindness in these little squares and it starts with me. 🥰
