This is how it was... I always looked up to him. I always yearned for the next time I would hear his laugh. I loved to play tricks on him just to hear that laugh and I loved the connection that we had. He was my Gramps.
His print was the first I had done and it was that little idea to do his print that landed me on this path. He passed only 3 days after taking those prints and it has been so special to have something so personal to only him that I can hold in my hands.
He was the bravest man I have known and he loved me unconditionally, that I know. I miss him dearly and am so grateful to have had the relationship with him that I did. He was “Pops” to 7 and Gramps to 21....he was proud of his family and we continue to be proud of him.
