Photo one is the advanced, start with putting your knee and foot on the bench and keep the bottom leg off the ground.

An year ago any type of Plank was huge challenge for me bcoz of my heavy upper nd lower body fats, that after taking a plank position my body use to come down or go up automatically. I use to struggle hard to hold 15 secs plank also nd mostly I tried to skip Plank.
But proper guidance of my coach @asawari_evolvefitcircle who helped me correcting my posture, breathing techniques, nutrition and my commitment of doing plank everyday after my workout, which lead me today to a super awesome "3 minutes" Elbow Plank with correct posture without any fuss....Dat to after a Super Fat torching workout circuit.💪💪💪
Plank had not only improved my body and core balance, but gave me a tighter tummy, better mood, strong spine so no back pains and it made me more flexible which helps me a lot in my #Zumba.💃💃

Here's how I set myself up for a solid "forearm" plank. Before I make my body do a plank, all muscles are required to engage and be ready to go to work. You don't want to make your arms have to hold your limp body up during a plank. Make the rest of your body do its job too. Be commanding and tell your muscles they are strong. Connect with the floor and get "solid" before going up into the plank. Solid in the feet, legs, (don't forget your glutes! The can be soooo lazy!), abs, arms, and hands. Once set up, straighten your knees and BAM, a nice solid plank happens! Now, after you've done the plank this way, try it the old limp noodle way and notice the difference between the two!
