This salted caramel smoothie from @consciouscravingsco is amazing - it is packed with nutrition and sweetness to give it the caramel flavour and is the perfect thickness!!! 🤩🙌🏼🍁 Definitely one of my favourites and I highly recommend trying it out 😉 Smoothies are honestly one of my favourite things to make each week for a snack or meal, which I have been doing for work as a morning snack to provide my body with more protein and energy! I am focusing on nutrition a lot at the moment to look after my health but also help my training and muscle growth!! 😁😁
Our activists are facing a great deal of harrassment from pro-carriage supporters trying to intimidate us. The fact that city council has allowed such disorderly and intimidating conduct in council chambers is unconscionable. We previously have been told no signs are allowed in council, yet there are now over 30 pro-carriage signs here. Carriage supporters are booing openly, laughing through presentations, and have aggressively approached our speakers after they have finished addressing council. As Corie and I sat down, one said, "You just put a fucking bullet in a horses head" (Who bets he goes home and eats animals?). Scare tactics and bullying are all this industry have. Are we the only ones who will stand up to the carriage companies?

I weighed myself today (something I go months and months without doing!) and the number in the scale is going UP with my lean muscle mass GROWTH! 😜 YAY!.
It’s so cool how our skeletal muscle mass responds to the stress of resistance training (I actually just wrote an entire postgrad research paper on it!!) ✍🏼This is especially important as skeletal muscle mass declines (muscle atrophy, aka: shrinkage) with loss of type II (fast twitch) muscle fibers & muscle protein synthesis, as an inevitable part of the aging process. Research shows that specific nutrients (and their timing) along with resistance exercise play a HUGE role in determining how you age!.
The CDC denotes just 23.5% of US adults ages 18-46 exercise (both aerobic cardio & resistance exercise) and this number is dramatically lower around 10% for adults >75 yrs! Conversely, aerobic activity for adults >18 is 53.1% with NO resistance training! NADA!! 😬.
Studies also show the IMPORTANCE of resistance training for your BRAIN 🧠 to protect it against neurodegenerative disease!!! 14 interventional studies published in the most well respected Journal of American Academy of Neurology found that not ONE pharmaceutical drug could be recommended to prevent Alzheimer’s disease (most common form of dementia). They study found EXERCISE is the only prevention and asked neurologists to tell their patients to go get a new pair of sneakers!! 👟👟👟.

I want to travel & have babies & help others all over the world achieve what they want deep down. setting boundaries has never been easy for me, nor has it ever felt more prevalent in my life than where i am now. i have this habit of allowing people to take my feelings and run with them- often leaving me feeling depleted and unworthy. setting boundaries and not only understanding my worth, but honoring it through the actions i take, has been hard but has given me the opportunity to be in control of my own life. i don’t owe myself to anyone. my words, my actions, my emotions- they’re mine. giving them to others knowing the response is not mutual or, in even the slightest way, appreciated, is something i know i can no longer take part in. it is far too tiring. setting boundaries for me has essentially been setting my worth and following through for myself. it’s an evaluation of what you are willing to accept from others and what you are willing to give. and if you are feeling lost in your relationships and out of control, this process is an opportunity to restart and i’d love to share stories with anyone who has gone through this or is working through the pain and learning how to navigate like me. 🌱
Curried lentils & salmon for dinner tonight. Lentils were prepped a couple days ago & I’ve been having them everyday. Lentils are filling, satisfying, high in protein & fibre ... alllll that good stufffffff 💪🏻👊🏻 & oh of course I drizzled a little tahini on & cilantro 🤷🏻♀️also throw a bunch some spinach in to get some greens in 🥦🥬 #HeathyLovingKitchen

Excuse my horrible job @ rolling these fresh spring rolls but they were just too good not to share!!!!! Since I wake up so early in the morning ( 4 am, yes 👎🏻 ) for work, eating a heavy dinner really affects my bloating & energy level in the morning
I soaked rice papers in lukewarm water for 30-45 secs. After taking them out I filled them with onions, peppers, sprouts & avocado 🥑! I drizzled it with a homemade sauce made with almond butter & more. You’ll have to wait for it 🧐
