Coronation Park, looking down the steep gully that once featured a stream and formed part of the castle's defences, in the shadow of the White Wall. It's a park with a healthy history, including royal abdication, gallows and a fair few sheep.
Beautiful views from Walla Crag of Derwent Water, Keswick and Bassenthwaite Lake in the distance. Didn’t realise how many little islands Derwent Water had until seeing it from this perspective. This little hike definitely on the favourites list now.
