7 pics. Once again, wearing today the Todd Snyder x TIMEX "Blackjack," a sizable, modern quartz watch from 2017, based on a much smaller mechanical "Sprite" model TIMEX from 1971, UK market.
The original Seventies watch appeared to be a totally unknown watch to the online TIMEX discussions of the early 2000s until I got one for £21, and posted pics of it on my site and on forums. There the pics sat until the Blackjack came out. After this, there was quite a bit of interest in finding original '70s versions. They are out there, but rare, much more rare than the red/white/black Bullseye Sprite, and they all appear to originate from the UK. The modern Snyder one is very good. It came with a black coated case, but I preferred it in steel, so I swapped it out with the steel case of a Snyder Bullseye which fit perfectly, and as far as I know this piece is unique in that way. (Someone in Michigan now has a one-of-a-kind Bullseye with black case, the by-products of that swap)! The steel mesh bracelet is from a "Tokyo Bay" watch I never really wore much. Last 3 pics are of the 1971 watch, and if you want to see more of it: bit.ly/bluetimex
