Im typically not a fan of “meat substitutes.” My mantra is: eat what you want, as it is. Don’t try to dress up a salad to taste like a steak...I prefer bacon over seitan, a bella burger over some frozen bean mush patty. Fake meat has never been attractive me... Enter beyond burger. This $3 patty blew.my.mind. Quick, simple, and if you told me I was eating beef, I would believe you.
I made an open face umami burger on top of a bed of arugula tossed in ginger miso dressing with chili oil, avocado, lime, katsu and furikake.... I obviously love furikake😎
