A very, very, very hard to find 1948 hardcover of 'The Flying Postman,' by Violet H. Drummond published by Penguin Books in their Purpoise Book Series. Being a postman is one of the BEST jobs in the whole wide world according to my 3yo (next to being a garbage (wo)man, bus driver or road worker), and this particular happy mail delivery man -Mr Musgrove- also happens to fly a girocopter to toss parcels&letters through people's windows! After a mishap (i.e. crash in the local church's steeple) when entertaining kids with aerial stunts, the post authorities take away his job forcing the poor feller to make well-selling delicious pink ice-cream with his smart wife Nina and the family's brown cow Daisy. Fortunately, the head of the authorities is thrown off his black steed into the postman's garden which helps the latter to get his beloved job back in the end. After all, being a postman is one of the best jobs in the world - probably even better than selling ice-cream 😃 #vintagepenguinbooks#porpoisebooks#midcenturybooks#vintagekidsbooks#vintagechildrensbooks#vintagebookillustration#midcenturychildrensbook#midcenturykids#1940sbooks#familyreads#toddlercrush#welovethepostman#vintagepicturebook
Is there anything cuter than tiny little hands busy in the kitchen? Baking is a big hobby of mine and I love sharing it with my toddler!! To keep it stress free, I always try to pre measure ingredients, clean as we go and just keep in mind the memories are worth any mess or imperfection. We’ve been using a learning tower since age 1 and it has hands down been the best tool for getting my son involved in the kitchen. We love it!
